The Human Resources department is currently seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic individual for the position of Director of Individual and Organization Effectiveness to join the HR team. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Individual and Organization Effectiveness leads the design, planning and implementation of corporate training and development programs for employees. The primary role of the position is to direct the training team in ensuring its objectives are closely aligned with the business needs. •Serve as the training expert and advisor to the organization for all training and development needs. Establish effective relationships. Be a consultative resource, active member, and a trusted advisor to the leadership team. Help managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either one-on-one or in groups. Participates in content development for Annual Management Retreat. Periodically evaluate training effectiveness.
•Direct a team of two managers, four training officers and a coordinator growing to six training officers in 2010. Coach and mentor their development, provide opportunities to improve skills and give regular feedback on progress. Engage and manage contractors/adjunct trainers as needed to complement training in periods of high demand to ensure effective service delivery and balanced workloads.
•Develops and maintains strong vendor relationships.
•Makes presentations both internally and externally. The ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and deliver high quality written and verbal presentations.
•Manage training related budget areas (e.g. transportation, lodging, food/beverages, materials, etc.). This includes establishing the budget and ensuring effective oversight, tracking, monitoring and reporting of costs including return on investment throughout the year, approving contracts and expenditures. Negotiate fees with vendors, reviewing contracts and identifying cost savings opportunities.
Our successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
•Minimum of ten to twelve years of progressively more responsible training and organization development experience, with at least five years managing an innovative and strategic training group. Bachelor’s degree, as well as a Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required.
•Knowledge of and skill in stand-up/platform training, adult learning theories and methods, e-learning techniques, ability to assess training needs and performance gaps and have the ability to think creatively both in the design and delivery of programs.
•Stays up-to-date on trends and developments within the functions of training, development, talent management and change management, as well as the industry. Ensure statutory training requirements are met.

The Fredericksburg Campus of Strayer University is seeking a full-time Student Support Representative to join the Campus Team. Through the guidance of the Student Support Manager, the Student Support Representative coordinates and implements the timely enrollment of continuing students, both in-school and reinstate, and all associated retention activities with assigned student advisees; solicits feedback from students withdrawing from the University; and provides guidance and assistance needed for the re-enrollment of out-of-school continuing students.
Key Responsibilities of the position include:

Strayer University’s growing Global Region, located in Northern Virginia, is currently seeking a dedicated, self-motivated individual for a Student Support Representative position. Through the guidance of the Student Support Managers, the Student Support Representative coordinates and implements the timely enrollment of continuing students, both in-school and reinstate, and all associated retention activities to consistently achieve quarterly performance objectives. Proactively supports the continued enrollment of students to increase their potential to attain their educational objectives. Provides guidance and assistance needed for the re-enrollment of students, and offers feedback to the Student Support Managers regarding information attained from conversations with continuing students. This position will be located at the actual physical facility and is not an online/web-based position.
Key Responsibilities of the position include:
•Regularly communicates with and assists an assigned cohort of continuing students, via telephone and email, with the re-enrollment process.
•Responds to inquiries and collaborates with other departments to resolve problems impacting student enrollment including the Business Office, Academics, Records, etc.
•Monitors the progress of each student in meeting the expectations and timelines he/she established when developing his/her Personal Education Plan (PEP).
•Monitors attendance postings and follows-up with all students who have missed two or more consecutive class meetings.
•Identifies at-risk students and works with them to identify interventions (i.e. tutoring, additional academic advising, etc) needed to assist them with their educational goals.
•Regularly meets with the Student Support Managers and others in the retention group to review continuing student enrollment activities and related issues.
To perform this job successfully, qualified candidates will possess: outstanding phone, email, written, and interpersonal skills; the ability to meet set enrollment goals on a quarterly basis; a high level of organization, attention to detail and follow-through skills; and strong computer skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word etc.) A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2 to 5 years of student enrollment and/or customer service experience. Evening and Weekend hours will also be required.

The Thousand Oaks Campus of Strayer University is seeking a full-time Student Support Representative to join the Campus Team.
