How long does it take to get a Master of Educational Design and Technology, Technology Innovations for Education?

Program cost breakdown
The Strayer Master of Educational Design and Technology program consists of 10 courses, with the price of $1,680 per course. There are additional fees for textbooks and supplies, a $65 technology fee each term and a one-time $150 degree conferral fee.
Transfer credits
Courses from another institution may be eligible for transfer credits to Strayer, which can help reduce the number of courses you need to graduate and your overall tuition. To apply for federal aid, prospective students should fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Stafford loans are available for graduate study. These are direct unsubsidized loans, not based on financial need. Unlike subsidized loans, Stafford loan interest will accrue while in the program. Making interest payments while in school will help reduce the amount of principal that would otherwise build up, reducing your end cost.
There are also scholarships and private loans available for Strayer students.

Private loans

This course focuses on implementing and leading through technological changes in the learning environment, specifically students will leverage technologies, such as social media, AI, VR, gamification and other contemporary technology applications to enhance learning opportunities and cultivate innovation in the classroom. Address chatbots and the impact on education and future design processes.
Provides learners with current educational practices and policies related to technology integration in schools so they may determine what level of support these policies provide regardless of student population. Learners will also examine legal standards for fair use of materials, digital citizenship, and authenticating sources. Emphasis is placed on the critical examination of social and cultural implications of information technologies and media, issues of cultural bias, equity, and international applications and implications of information technologies.
Design and develop engaging e-learning experiences. Topics include design steps, the technology uses for communication and learning and globalization. Explore different learners needs and motivations for using technologies such as blogging, texting, social networking, gaming, micro-worlds, and avatars. Learn to use various Internet sites and productivity tools to design, develop and evaluate engaging e-learning experiences.
Prerequisite: To be taken last or next to last; a grade of B or higher is required.
Apply the rationale for and methods of developing a professional portfolio. Create a portfolio that includes a comprehensive collection of work and artifacts to demonstrate analysis, synthesis and evaluation of theoretical and practical knowledge gained in prior program courses. Demonstrate competency of your specific concentration area as well as of program outcomes. A supervising faculty member will evaluate your capstone project. A grade of B or higher is required.
