While a postsecondary degree is required for many professions, completion of a Strayer University degree program does not guarantee employment in any profession. Prior to enrollment, students are responsible to confirm all education, training, and licensing requirements in their chosen field. ACCOUNTING
Credits, degrees, certificates and diplomas earned from Strayer University’s accounting programs do not automatically qualify the holder to participate in professional licensing examinations, such as the Certified Public Accountant examination, or to practice certain professions in Florida or any other state. All students interested in practicing a regulated accounting profession requiring licensure from a state regulatory agency, and especially those students in Florida, should contact the appropriate state regulatory agency in the field of their interest.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Completion of Strayer University’s criminal justice programs does not guarantee that a student has met the requirements for employment in the criminal justice field. Prior to enrollment, students are encouraged to consult the applicable licensing agency in the field of their employment.
Criminal justice students should be aware that many criminal justice employers take into account the following factors when determining eligibility for employment:
- U.S. citizenship
- state residency
- criminal background
- physical and psychological health
- age; and
- military discharge information.

Completion of Strayer University’s Master of Education program does not guarantee a student has met the requirements to apply for public school teacher or administrator licensure in any state, nor that the student is eligible for pay raises, promotions or other job-related benefits.
Students pursuing teacher or school administrator certifications in the public school system should contact their respective state offices of education as well as local school district to confirm educational requirements before beginning the program.

- Alabama Department of Education Strayer University has been granted authorization by the State of Alabama under Ala. Code §16-5-10 (14) (1975) to offer the academic degree program described herein. Since credentials earned in the Master of Education program do not automatically qualify for teacher certification, endorsement and/or salary benefits within the State of Alabama, prospective students are advised to contact the Office of the Alabama State Superintendent of Education and/or their local school district administrators for verification.

- Georgia Department of Education. For students in Georgia who are enrolling after January 1, 2011: According to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, Strayer University's Master in Education program only meets the requirements for eligibility for a certificate level upgrade if completed by September 1, 2015. The concentration in Adult Education and Development must be completed by December 15, 2014. All students seeking a certificate level upgrade in Georgia should refer to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, http://www.gapsc.com/regarding eligibility requirements.
